A Light in the Dark*

When the city hums with a hollow sound,
And you’re scrolling through the shadows of a screen,
When the heavy static closes in around,
And the world feels cold and gray and lean;

There’s a frequency that doesn’t break,
A steady pulse beneath the frantic pace,
A choice of hope you decide to make,
A quiet glow in a crowded space.

It doesn’t need a neon sign,
Or a viral post to prove it’s there,
It’s a simple, silver, living line—
A breath of peace in the heavy air.

Because the dark is just a lack of sight,
A temporary wall built out of fear,
But nothing shuts the power of the light
That keeps on shining, loud and clear.
